Vance brings over 30 years of experience as a CEO and entrepreneur. As the co-founder and CEO of Cherwell Software, Vance drove significant growth and raised hundreds of millions of dollars, culminating in a successful exit backed by KKR and Insight Partners. His earlier achievements include leading GoldMine Software as its CEO from a $40 million valuation to unicorn status in just 4 years. He also led Buildsoft as its co-founder and CEO from startup to the top-ranked integrated construction management software firm recognized by Builder Magazine.
Vance graduated summa cum laude from Wake Forest and was inducted into the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. He then graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law, with honors, where he excelled academically (Law Review and Order of the Coif). Licensed in North Carolina and the District of Columbia, he has made significant contributions to the legal field with multiple publications. Vance began his career as an attorney with Parker Poe. He received his mediation training certificate from Duke University School of Law.
Vance is a lifetime Honorary Commander Emeritus for the US Air Force Academy. He also serves on the Advisory Board for the Wake Forest School of Divinity.
